The SG-2R probe is designed for gamma measurement with any CSP survey meter, offering excellent sensitivity for detecting gamma emitters from low background levels. As part of the Canberra™ SMART Probe (CSP) family, it integrates all key hardware and intelligence components, including calibration, settings, and alarm controls. The probe communicates directly with the host instrument or PC via a serial protocol, ensuring high measurement quality.
Calibration and QA can be done using CSPS software without a survey meter, and once calibrated, the probe is plug-and-play. A push-button triggers a high-energy threshold to detect specific isotopes like 60Co, with settings adjustable via CSPS. The SG-2R can store up to 1000 data points and is firmware-upgradable via USB.
