The FoodScreen Radiological Food Screening System is designed for efficient food analysis. Simply place a sample into the shield, start the count, and generate a report. The system detects activity or minimum detectable concentrations for key nuclides like Iodine-131, Cesium-134, and Cesium-137. It then determines if the sample is “Clean” or “Above Limit” based on preset nuclide-specific thresholds.
The FoodScreen system includes a 2 x 2 in. NaI(Tl) detector (with optional temperature stabilization), a 7F7 Mobile Shield, a NORM* KCl calibration check source, the Osprey® Universal Digital MCA Tube Base, and the Genie Spectroscopy Software Suite with Genie-FieldPro to simplify counting operations.
